We want your Kansas food stories – the lemonade pitcher wheeled down into the cistern to keep cold in summer, the last can of corn in the pantry when the house was surrounded by 1951 floor waters, the cow in the dugout during a snowstorm, the family reunion featuring Volga German specialties.
We want to meet the cooks and the diners. We want to hear about what grew in the garden and what came from the shelves of the local grocery.
We want to celebrate the ingenuity of our foremothers in the kitchen, to honor those who grew the wheat and milled the flour, to remember our roots and remind our children and grandchildren to do the same.
We want you to help. How?
